Dr. Michel Sussmann, who oversaw the delivery, confirmed the happy news. “The babies are doing well. The operation went just perfectly. Angelina is in very good spirits. Brad Pitt was at her side. He was there and all was well,” he stated.

Knox was born weighing 5.03 pounds while his twin sister weighed 5 pounds. One of his earliest public outings came a few months after his birth when he was spotted in Japan with his father in 2009.

Shortly after Knox and his twin sister’s birth, the Jolie-Pitt family made headlines again with a remarkable decision. The couple sold exclusive photos of their newborn twins. They sold them for a whopping $14 million.
This was a record-breaking amount at the time. A person in the negotiations revealed that People magazine and a British tabloid were granted joint rights to publish these sought-after images.

The money was more than double the amount People magazine had previously paid for the exclusive photos of Jennifer Lopez’s twins. It was reported that a desire for profit did not drive the couple’s decision to sell these photos. Instead, Brad and Angelina donated the entire $14 million to a children’s foundation.

The addition of Knox and his twin sister brought the Jolie-Pitt family to a total of six children. Before welcoming Knox and his sister, Angelina had expressed a desire to expand her family with her husband.
However, the news that she was expecting twins even surprised the couple. “We weren’t expecting twins. So it did shock us, and we jumped to six [children] quickly. But we like a challenge,” Angelina candidly shared.

The older children enthusiastically embraced their roles as big siblings. This was especially true for the power couple’s older daughters. “[Shiloh] and Z pick out [the twins’] clothes and help change and hold them. It’s sweet—they are little mommies,” Angelina said.
In November 2011, Knox was photographed sweetly griping his older sister’s hand as the family of eight was seen arriving at Haneda International Airport in Tokyo. The toddler looked like his father’s mini-me as the pair rocked long, dirty-blonde locks.

Knox Jolie-Pitt: 5 – 6 Years Old
By 2013, Knox was often spotted out and about with his famous parents. In April, the adorable 5-year-old was photographed donning a red and white jacket while accompanying his mother in New York. He still had his adorable long hair and looked more and more like his parents as the years went on.

Knox and his twin sister drew much public attention following their birth. This was due to their names. Many had speculated the twins would be girls named Isla Marcheline and Amelie Jane.
Instead, Brad and Angelina looked back at their family histories for inspiration. They created names with deep personal and familial meanings. Knox is a rarely used Scottish, English, and Irish surname. It was also the middle name of Brad’s grandfather, Hal Knox Hillhouse.

Additionally, instead of their sons sharing the same first initial, they share the last letter “x.” Their middle names also share the letter “n,” creating a meaningful link between the siblings.
The name Leon, Knox’s middle name, is the name of Angelina’s great-great-grandfather. This connection to their family’s history adds depth to Knox’s full name.

Vivienne’s name, on the other hand, reflects her birth in France and means “life” and “alive.” Her middle name, Marcheline, was particularly significant for Angelina. It was a tribute to the actress’s mother, with whom Angelina shared a close bond.

By the age of six, Knox was already showing a strong resemblance to his father. “Knox is a lot like Brad, emotionally and physically,” Angelina revealed. However, Knox’s bond with his mother was still evident during public outings.
In June 2014, he was all smiles as he held his mother’s hand while they made their way through Haneda Airport in Japan. “He’s also especially close to his big sister, Zahara,” a source added.

In 2016, Angelina returned to the big screen. The actress reprised her role as the fierce Tigress in the beloved animated film, “Kung Fu Panda 3.” This time, however, the project held a special significance as it became a family affair.
A source revealed that Knox and some of his siblings would be joining their mother in the film. “They have some lines in the film,” Angelina’s representative confirmed.

During an interview, Angelina elaborated on the unique experience of working with her children. She explained that she had brought her children to work with her one day, which led to Knox and his siblings providing animal noises for some of the pandas in the animated film.
“They were kind of shy,” Angelina recalled. “They don’t really want to be actors, but I didn’t want them to miss the opportunity. They came in, and they had a lot of fun with it,” the actress contnued.

By September 2016, Knox’s mother shocked the world after the news broke that she had filed for divorce. Angelina’s attorney, Robert Offer, made the announcement and emphasized that the decision was taken for the overall health and well-being of the family.
Angelina’s attorney stated that the “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” star would not be commenting further on the matter, and he also requested privacy for the family during this challenging time.

The divorce filing revealed that Angelina cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The actress sought physical custody of Knox and his siblings, and Brad would subsequently be granted visitation rights. In the filing, she also did not request for spousal support.

The impact of the divorce was felt deeply within the family, with Brad expressing his sadness over the situation in a statement. The actor emphasized that the well-being of their children was his primary concern and urged the press to respect their need for privacy during such a difficult time.
Rumors of trouble in the former couple’s relationship had circulated for years, with speculation reaching a peak in 2010. However, at that time, Brad and Angelina successfully sued the News of the World after the publication’s false allegations that the couple was separating.

Later, in November, Angelina and several of her children were spotted engaging in a heartwarming activity. The actress was photographed at a dog park with her twins and Shiloh selling organic dog treats. Former “Parenthood” actress Sarah Ramos captured the unexpected sighting and later shared the moment on Twitter.

Sarah showed Knox and his family sitting behind a table. It had small paper bags and a simple white sign with a heart drawn on it. The scene was charming and wholesome, capturing the family’s down-to-earth side.
“I’m not sure why God chose me to tell this story but I have to fulfill my calling: A couple months ago I went to the dog park and saw Angelina Jolie selling organic dog treats (sic),” the “Parenthood” actress tweeted. “The kids wanted to support Hope for Paws and they made the treats themselves,” a source later revealed.

By 2021, Knox was a growing teenager and was already as tall as his older brother. In October, he sweetly smiled for cameras while attending a film premiere in England. He looked dashing in an all-black ensemble and ditched the cute long locks he rocked during his younger years for a shorter trim.

“They’re pretty great people and because there’s so many of them, I think they’ve had a very significant effect on each other. It’s not like I’m the head of anything. I’m very honest with my kids. And I’m very human with my kids,” she shared.
Angelina’s parenting style was characterized by curiosity and support for her children’s individuality. She explained that she was “curious about all the different aspects of who they are.”

The actress said her primary role was to “be there to support and develop all the different aspects of who they are.” She was deeply invested in the personal development of each of her children.
“I have six very individual human beings in my home. I am so excited about all the different stages and feelings and curiosities that they go through. Why wouldn’t you be?” Angelina revealed.
