Chilling photo shows college students passed out on bar moments before they were hospitalized as their ‘drinks were spiked’

A horrifying photo showed the moment two college students lay passed out on top of a bar moments before they were hospitalized.

Zara Hull, her boyfriend Jake Sinder, and their friend Kaylie Pitze were having fun at a swim-up bar at a resort in Cancun when the two girls’ drinks were allegedly spiked.

An image taken at the scene shows the two girls with their faces down against the hard surface as they held onto each other’s hands, after complaining of their bodies feeling extremely strange.

Speaking to CBS News, Hull recalled the sequence of events from a hospital bed in Dallas.

See the photo below:

“We just had a pool day,” she said. “We both got water and within two minutes, Jake had turned around and we both hit the bar, heads down at the same time.”

The girls believed their drinks were drugged and were rushed to hospital.

Hull experienced the worst of the symptoms, including multiple convulsions, so she was rushed to a private hospital in the area they were staying in Mexico.

“Basically, it was just me and Zara in this hospital that had hundreds of rooms,” said Snider. “All the locks are on the outside of the room so they can lock you in.”

However, even though she had not yet recovered, the hospital was demanding thousands of dollars in fees for her treatment.

“They had increased the money they wanted. The baseline was $10,000 for them to even look at me,” Hull stated. “They were holding me captive. We’re college students; we don’t have the money they’re asking for.”

Thankfully, the group managed to secure a private plane back to their home city where Hull was immediately hospitalized and received the treatment she needed.

“When we got here, I could not breathe on my own. They would try to get me off the ventilator, and every time my lungs would just stop,” Hull recalled.

She suffered 18 convulsions and though doctors could not find a clear reason for it, they also believe she was drugged on vacation.

Thankfully Hull is now doing a lot better, but this has seemingly impacted her desire to travel outside of the United States.

“We’re not going to leave the United States ever again,” Hull stated. “They say the resort is the safest place; don’t leave it. That’s not true.”

The outlet reported that for now, the family is collecting donations to help pay Hull’s extensive medical bills and will not be naming the resort in Mexico due to safety concerns.
